<span style="color: #222222;">India is fighting against Covid-19 with active participation of the State and Union territories. Many States have evolved various strategies within the larger framework of advisories, guidelines and protocols suggested by the Centre. Odisha has taken several measures which led to reduction in covid 19 cases and low mortality rates.<br />'' <br />'' Under the guidance of the Centre, the Odisha government has focused its anti-Covid measures by actively using IT, empowering the local sarpanches, building its skilled healthcare force through community participation and protecting the vulnerable groups. One of the key initiatives taken by the government is that Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation has developed a mobile App "Sachetak" to keep co-morbid and elderly citizens of the city under high scrutiny. Through this App, citizens can explore resources on Covid protection, consult doctors, view s on COVID quarantine, positive cases and so on. The government also operated a telemedicine helpline service (14410) in addition to the 104 helpline with the help of over 300 qualified medical professionals. So far, it has trained one lakhs 72 thousand health personnel to provide health care to covid patients.<br />''<br />''As an innovative step, the Ganjam district administration is training thousands of migrants in quarantine centers as community health workers in areas as sanitation measures. This practice is being replicated in other districts also. The state government has delegated powers of District Collectors to Sarpanches of Gram Panchayats under Disaster Management Act 2005 to monitor quarantine regulations, especially of the returning migrants.&nbsp;</span><br />
