Information and Broadcasting Minister Venkaiah Naidu has said, measures are being taken to improve the process of imparting skills to youth. Speaking at the inauguration of the Free Health Camp at Swarna Bharati Trust at Muchintal near Hyderabad this morning, he said, the Government has set a target of skilling over 400 million youths by 2022 as over 110 million workers are required only in select sectors like Textiles, automobiles, construction and retail sectors. <br/><br/>He said, Pradhan Mantri Koushal Kendras will also be expanded to over 600 districts in the country from the present 60 districts. He also said that focus will be laid on Education and Health sectors so that the poor and downtrodden will get access to these basic amenities. <br/><br/>Niti Ayog Vice Chairman Arvind Panagariya said, there is a need to augment the process of imparting skill all over the country. On this occasion, about 50 youths, who completed training on various skill imparting courses, were given certificates.
