Meals for students in MP's drought affected areas

In Madhya Pradesh, food will be served under Mid-day Meal Scheme to the students of the drought-affected areas during the summer vacations. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports this arrangement will be in place till 15th June except for government holidays.The State Revenue Department has declared 44 tehsils of 19 districts as drought-affected. Cooked and warm food will be served to the students of primary and middle schools under Mid-day Meal scheme during summer vacations in these tehsils. Detailed directives to this effect have been sent by Mid-day Meal Scheme Council to Chief Executive Officers of all the Zila Panchayats. It has been directed that stale food should not be served in any case. The food will be distributed from 9 to 10 am.
