Manipur Home Minister Gaikhangam has told state assembly on Monday that the Union Ministry of External Affairs is actively considering for opening a Regional Passport Seva Kendra at Imphal.Replying a Calling Attention motion moved by Dr. I. Ibohalbi Singh of Trinamool Congress, Mr. Gaikhangam said that state government is also actively pursuing the Ministry to expedite the process for opening the Passport Office at Imphal.The Home Minister further said that, state government is fully aware of the grievances faced by Foreign Passport seekers of Manipur from the Regional Passport Office at Guwahati.
