A special Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) court has extended the police custody of LeT operative and key 26/11 handler Abu Jundal till 3rd September in the 2006 Aurangabad arms haul case. The court also rejected Jundal's request to talk to his parents. The court rejected his request according to directions from the Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad about not allowing Jundal to speak to his parents frequently for security reasons. He was earlier allowed to speak to his parents over the phone. The ATS told the MCOCA court that Jundal was the main accused in the case and they were on the look out for other accused who were absconding. Sayed Zabiuddin Ansari alias Abu Jundal was brought to Mumbai on July 21st after a Delhi court had handed over his custody to the ATS.
