The Municipal Corporation of Delhi, MCD, has asked the occupants of 38 buildings in the area to evacuate immediately. According to a MCD spokesman, these buildings have been categorised as dangerous. He said during a survey, basements of these buildings were found to be water-filled. The spokesman added that the MCD is carrying survey within a radius of 300 metres from Pushta Road where the building collapsed.Meanwhile, MCD Works Committee Chairman Jagdish Mamgain has called for strict action against those responsible for allowing illegal construction. He has also pleaded not to post tainted officers in the Corporation and stressed the need to stop illegal constructions at the initial stage only.
