MC Mary Kom bags her first ever Asian Games Gold

Five time world champion MC Mary Kom has bagged her first ever Asian Games Gold. In the Final of the Flyweight category a short while ago, she defeated Zhaina Shekerbekova of Kazakhstan, 2-0, to bag India's 7th Gold of the Incheon Games. India, now, have 7 Gold, 8 Silver and 32 Bronze in it's kitty and is at the 10th spot.In India's other events scheduled for today, Ashwini Akkunji and Jithin Paul in the 400-metres Hurdles; M. Prajusha and Mayookha Johnny in Triple Jump; Tintu Luka, Sushma Devi and Sajeesh Joseph in 800 metres; and Annu Rani in Javelin Throw will be seen competing for the top medal.The Women's Hockey team will take on Japan in the Bronze medal match. All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the match from 12:55 PM.In today's other results, Indian Wrestlers in the Greco Roman category again failed to make their mark, as Gurpreet Singh, Sandeep Yadav and Dharmendar Dalal bowed out in their respective categories.The Men's Volleyball team lost to Japan, 2-3 in the quarterfinals.In the Men's 50 km Race Walk, Sandeep Kumar finished fourth, and Basanta Bahadur Rana fifth.In Sepaktakraw, the Indian Women's team lost to China, 0-2 in a preliminary group match.China's unassailable lead in the medals tally continues. Korea is second, with Japan third.
