In Mumbai, the two arrested accused in Tuesday night’s shootout case have been remanded to police custody today till the 26th of this month by Mazgaon court. They have been identified as 29 year old Syyed Ali, a resident of Mumbra and 27 year old Indra Khatri, possibly from Nepal. Public prosecutor informed that the duo has been charged under various sections of IPC and the Arms Act. Meanwhile, Mumbai police today claimed that Iqbal Kaskar, the brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, was not present when gunmen opened fire in south Mumbai on Tuesday night killing his bodyguard. Addressing media persons in Mumbai today, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Operations) Rajkumar Vatkar said that Kaskar was not there at the place of firing. He said the accused are being questioned and investigations are on.
