Mayawati urges minority community to support BSP candidates to prevent BJP from coming to power

BSP chief Mayawati has urged the minority community to avoid splitting of votes and support her party's candidates to prevent BJP from coming to power. Addressing a meeting at Muzaffarnagar today she slammed the Samajwati Government in Uttar Pradesh for the law and order situation in the state. She claimed that said during her term as chief minister, the state was totally riot-free and the law and order situation was regarded one of the best.

Mayawati also attacked the economic policies of BJP and Congress, saying that both the parties had been in power and their policies had damaged the country's economy.

Mayawati criticised the Centre for increasing the list of Scheduled Castes without expanding the quota of reservation.
