In a new twist to the demand of creating smaller states, Uttar Pradesh chief minister, Kumari Mayawati supported the creation of Western UP and Bulendkhand by dividing UP. Addressing a press conference at Lucknow this evening, the Chief Minister said if center agrees then the state government will come up with the related proposal in UP assembly. She said she has written a letter to Prime minister favouring small states for better administrative management and development on the lines of Telangana.
