BSP Chief Ms Mayawati today complained that atrocities are committed against women belonging to minority community in Madhya Pradesh in the name of cow protection. Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha during Zero Hour, Ms Mayawati alleged that police remained silent spectators. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, her party members trooped into the well raising slogans against the government. Some of the Congress members also joined them. Leader of Opposition Ghulam Nabi Azad said, his party is not objecting protecting the cow but there should be no atrocities on minorities and dalits in the name of cow protection.<br/><br/>Responding to this, Minister of State of Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said, government strongly condemns such acts. He said, Madhya Pradesh government has taken action against those involved. He appealed political parties not to do politics over the issue.
