BSP chief Mayawati has ruled out alliance with the Congress and the BJP for Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. She told reporters outside Parliament that her party will contest independently in all states including Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. When asked why she supported the Congress in floor test in Uttarakhand, she clarified that she only supported Congress as it was not an election but only a test to form Government.
