Mayawati removes two more ministers

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has sacked two ministers from her government.Minister of State for Non-conventional Energy Akbar Husain and Minister of State for Science and Technology Yashpal Singh were removed from their posts by Governor on the advice of the Chief Minister yesterday.They were sacked for alleged misuse of power and ignoring public issues in their constituencies. They have also been denied party ticket for the forthcoming assembly elections in the state.Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta Justice NK Mehrotra has asked the Chief Minister to remove Small Scale Industry and Export Minister Chandra Dev Ram Yadav on corruption charges.The Lokayukta also said that a criminal investigation should be initiated against the minister for possessing assets disproportionate to his income.
