BSP supremo Mayawati condemning the anti-Dalit remarks of Union Minister General V K Singh in the wake of the Faridabad Dalit burning incident has demanded the sacking of the minister. She has termed the statement of General Singh as very shameful and insulting towards Dalits. She further said that upon taking cognizance of such obnoxious remarks, the Prime Minister should sack the minister. Addressing a press conference in Lucknow today, she blamed the BJP government in the state of Haryana and the NDA at the centre for being inhuman and insensitive towards down trodden Dalits.<br/><br/>The Congress has held the BJP and its affiliates responsible for the anti-dalit sentiments in the country. Party spokesperson Kumari Selja criticised Union Minister General V K Singh's remarks against Dalits and demanded his sacking from the Cabinet.
