The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minster has asked police officers to be more vigilant to check Naxalite activities in the state. Addressing the senior administrative and police officers in Lucknow, Mayawati said that the security of prisons should be more tightened wherever Naxalite have been imprisoned .Chief Minster also instructed that the pace of development works in naxalite areas should be fasten.<br/><br/>She also said that the police officers should make better coordination with the officers responsible for implementation of development works for improvement in the law and order situation in naxal affected areas.<br/><br/>The meeting was attended by Cabinet Secretary Mr. Shashank Shekhar Singh, the Chief Secretary Mr. Atul Kumar Gupta and DG, Police Karamver Singh and other senior officers held at Yojana Bhawan in Lucknow on Monday.
