The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the second time till 2 PM following uproar over the display of currency notes worth crores of rupees for garlanding Mayawati at a rally to mark the silver jubilee celebrations of the BSP.<br/><br/>The issue was first raised during the question hour by Mr Jagadambika Pal of the Congress and members of the Samajwadi Party. <br/><br/>This was stoutly objected to by the BSP members. The agitating members from both sides were up on their feet and indulged in heated exchange of words. Following this, the House was adjourned till 1 PM. When the house re-assembled, similar situation prevailed forcing the Deputy Speaker, Mr Karia Munda to adjourn the house till 2 PM.<br/><br/>Talking to reporters outside Parliament, the BJP leader, Mr Rajnath Singh, urged the Centre to take cognizance of the incident and take appropriate action.<br/><br/>Mr Jagadambika Pal of the Congress accused the U P administration of misusing the funds for party activities and demanded that the Chief Minister, Ms. Mayawati should step down.<br/><br/>Mr Sharad Yadav of the JD(U) said the display of notes in such a fashion is an insult to the national currency.<br/><br/>The BSP leader, Mr Veer Bahadur Singh, however, justified the garlanding of his leader with currency notes saying that it is a gift from her followers.<br/><br/>A news just received says, Income tax Department department will probe the source of the 1,000 notes garland presented to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati. <br/>
