Mauritius invites Indian entrepreneurs to expand business in Africa

Mauritius has invited Indian investors to take advantage of the state of art facilities, opportunities and its strategic location to expand their business in Africa. Addressing a function in Dubai today, the Mauritius Industries and Commerce Minister Sayyad Abdal Qader Sayed Hosein said Mauritius offers a tried, tested and trusted business environment which must be explored by the Indian business enterprenuers.He urged them to become a partner with Mauritius in tapping the large African markets and making it the trade and business hub in the region.The Mauritius Industries Minister said that NRIs have put in FDI worth billions of dollars from Mauritius into India which has been of great help not only to India but also to the development of Mauritius. The results are showing in terms of development of infrastructure, creation of jobs, reduction in poverty and upliftment of living standards. He said there has been small issues between the two countries on taxation ,which the Joint Working Group is looking into . The Minister said he was hopeful that the matter will be resolved soon. He said that the age old trade and cultural links between India and Mauritius are as strong as ever.
