India has handed over the Dhruv, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) to Mauritius. The helicopter was handed over by Minister of State for External Affairs Dr. Shashi Tharoor to Prime minister of Mauritius Mr. Navin Ramgoolam during his visit to the country on Tuesday. An Inter-Governmental Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Mauritius and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) were also signed for the supply of the Coastal Surveillance Radar System to Mauritius. Under the agreement, training and technical support will be offered by BEL to Mauritian personnel. Dr. Tharoor was the Chief Guest at the celebrations commemorating the 175th anniversary of the arrival of the indentured labourers from India in Mauritius.
