The BJP has threatened to launch a statewide stir against the Uttar Pradesh government today if a CBI probe is not ordered in the Mathura Violence.? Talking to reporters in Mathura yesterday, BJP secretary Shrikant Sharma rejected the Commission level inquiry ordered by the Chief Minister into the violence in which 25 people including two police officers were killed. Mr Sharma alleged that state government was trying to shield the perpetrators of the Mathura violence.? Addressing a rally at Amroha yesterday, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh had said that if the state government asks for a CBI probe, Centre will accept it.
