The Indian Navy has supplied over 30,000 kilogram of relief materials and deployed its warship besides several choppers in its operations in flood-hit Odisha. Our correspondent reports, INS Airavat, amphibious vessel along with a Chetak helicopter and divers have been deployed off the Paradip coast .Two choppers also have been positioned at Bhubaneswar airport for relief operations.The choppers have carried out air drop sorties in Banki, Puri, Jagatsingh Pur, Kendra Para, Cuttack and Nayagarh areas. Meanwhile, the IAF has also deployed two of its Mi-17 choppers which are operating from the Bhubeneshwar airfield.Major rivers are flowing down their danger marks. However due to low pressure some places in state is receiving scanty rainfall as a result water levels in few at the down stream of Baitarani in Jajpur and Bhadrak, and Rsikulaya in Ganjam district are flowing above their danger marks.So far, 32 people have died and 12 are missing in flood and thousands have been inundated.Over nineteen districts of the thirty districts in state have suffered huge loss due to flood affecting over 2 lakh 55 thousand people.Meanwhile, the state government today asked district collectors of the affected areas to submit their final report on real loss of lives and properties before 25th of this month to enable the state government providing ex-gratia to the affected.
