In Bihar a massive search operation has been launched to locate the kidnapped seven polling officials in Jamui district of the state. Maoist abducted polling officials yesterday when they were proceeding towards their assigned booths for the ninth phase of panchayat elections at Charka Pathar area under sonho police station of the district.The Director General of Police told AIR that jawans of CRPF and Special Task Force have been engaged in search operation. An intensive combing operation is being carried out in forest areas of the Jamui to locate missing polling officials.The Police remained clueless about the whereabouts the abducted polling officials. However, there were reports that the maoists are demanding the release of two of their men in exchange for the safe release of the abducted officials.
