In Bihar a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the maoist involved in the killing of an Assistant Sub Inspector of police and a women voter in Jamui district yesterday. Bhagalpur zone Inspector General A K Ambedkar told AIR that the ASI was shot dead by the maoist rebels after other members of polling party and security personnel fled the scene following an armed attack by nearly 150 maoists. The maoist also killed a woman who failed to provide a matchbox for setting a blaze a police vehicle.
