Massive increase in the budgetary allocations to the North East Region since 2014: Govt

<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Government has made development of North East a major priority and there has been a massive increase in the budgetary allocations to the region since 2014.</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;"><br />''</span></p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><span style="color: #222222;">Cabinet has approved Schemes of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region with an outlay of over 12,800 crore rupees for the balance period of the 15th Finance Commission. DoNER Ministry said the actual expenditure in last four years under its schemes was more than 7,500 hundred crore rupees. It said the fund available for expenditure in next four years till 2025-26 is over 19,82 crore rupees. Massive efforts have been undertaken for infrastructure development in the region with a focus on improving connectivity.</span></p>
