In Rajasthan, at least three people were killed and 140 injured, some of them seriously, in a massive fire that broke out at an Indian Oil Corporation depot in Sitapura industrial area in Jaipur. Unofficial figure put the death toll at five. The injured have been admitted to different hospitals of Jaipur where the condition of 10 persons is reported to be serious. Loss of more than 500 crore is estimated in the incident. 22 fire tenders, 300 army personnel and 2 teams of oil fire experts are engaged in bringing the fire under control. 7 rehabilitation centers have been opened where the persons evacuated from the nearby villages are taking shelter. The schools in the nearby villages will remain closed on Friday. <br/>The government has announced an ex-gratia of two lakh rupees to next of kin of those killed in the incident, one lakh to seriously injure and 50,000 rupees to the injured. Union Minister for Petroleum Murli Deora has reached Jaipur. He will be visiting the accident site and will meet the Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. The Governor and the Chief Minsiter visited SMS Hospital onThursday night and reviewed the measures being taken for the treatment of the injured. <br/>The injured were admitted to Mahatma Gandhi and SMS hospitals. Rajasthan Chief Minister said that the assistance of army is being sought. Union Petroleum Minister Murli Deora said in New Delhi that the fire is massive and efforts are on to douse the blaze. The fire also spread to some industrial units in a radius of three kilometer destroying them. A leak in the pipeline is suspected to have caused the blaze. <br/>Villagers around the place of incident have been evacuated and electricity has been cut off as a precautionary measure. The fire is still burning out of control.<br/>
