<br/>In Chhattisgarh, a massive search operation has been launched following yesterday’s naxalite attack on the police party, killing at least 75 policemen. 7 others were also injured in the incident, which took place in the Tadmetla jungle of the Dantewada district of the state. As a follow up, all the inter-state borders of Chhattisgarh have been sealed and search operation has been intensified by the police to nab the culprits. <br/><br/>Police stations across the naxal affected districts of the state have been put on high alert. Meanwhile, the dead bodies of the policemen have been airlifted to Jagdalpur from the site of the incident last night. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh is scheduled to visit Jagdalpur today to pay homage to the deceased jawans. The dead bodies of the jawans are also set to be air dashed to their respective home states today from Jagdalpur. It may be mentioned here that barring only a couple of victims from the state police, the rest belong to the CRPF, who had been engaged in the Dantewada district of the state in anti- Naxalite campaign.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, in West Bengal, all police stations in three Maoists affected districts have been put on high alert after yesterday's attack on security personnel in Chhattisgarh. The Director General of Police Mr. Bhupinder Singh told newsmen in Kolkata that all police stations and camps have been asked to be on maximum alert and to intensify patrolling and vigil in inter-state border. Mr. Singh said that security measures have been beefed up in three Maoists affected districts in West Midnapur, Bankura and Purulia.
