In Jammu and Kashmir, a massive air operation is on to save the lives of nomadic people caught in rough weather conditions at the higher reaches of Warwan in Kishtwar district. The operation is being carried out by the State Administration and Air Force authorities from Tuesday. Strategically designed to save the lives of nomadic tribes trapped up in the Jabbal area of Warwan due to heavy snowfall and non connectivity of the region by road network, the operation primarily dealt with air dropping of food packages and woolens for saving the precious lives. The food packages and other essentials were provided by Divisional and District Red Cross Societies for nomads. To ensure specific point location of the nomadic tribes caught up in the higher reaches, some of the community members were also made part of the air dropping. <br/>
