Betting big on the rural market, the country's largest car maker, Maruti Suzuki India plans to increase its penetration in rural areas by over 20 per cent, and establish a presence in 1.5 lakh villages.Maruti Suzuki's rural sales had increased 23 per cent, to 4.15 lakh units in the last fiscal, when it posted its highest ever total sales of 12.92 lakh units in a financial year.The company has established a presence in 1.25 lakh villages by the last fiscal.
