In Sri Lanka, the martyr's day in remembrance of death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi is being observed.<br />''  <br />'' The Consulate General of India in Jaffna observed the day with the garlanding of Mahatma Gandhiji's statue, one minute silence and singing of his favourite bhajan Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram.<br />''  <br />'' All Ceylon Gandhi Sewa Sangam jointly organised the function. Several dignitaries including chairman of northern province C. V. K. Sivagnanam and  Jaffna Mayor Arnold were present on the occasion.<br />''  <br />'' Gandhi Community Centre in Ariyalai organized another function where Consul General Balachandran paid homage to Gandhiji and addressed the school children present at the function.<br />''  <br />'' Indian cultural centre in Colombo is organizing a cultural programme 'Remembering the Mahatma' this evening to pay tribute to the father of Nation. <br />'' <br />
