In Punjab ,Haryana and Chandigarh martyrdom day of ninth Sikh guru,Sri Guru Teg Bahadur is being observed today.This day was marked with recitation of Gurbani Kirtan in the Gudwaras and religious processions at different places. Guru Teg Bahadur sacrificed his life in Chandni Chowk of New Delhi to save religion from the tyranny of the rulers of the day.

The main function in Punjab was organized at Anandpur Sahib and at all the historical gurdwaras people attended morning prayers. A whole night recitation of gurbani kirtan programmes have been planned at many places.Large number a of people are thronging to the gurdwaras.
