Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Parkash Singh Badal today called upon the people to follow the high ideals of secularism, humanism and spirit of sacrifice as preached and practiced by – the ninth Guru Sri Guru Teg Bahadur ji known as Hind Di Chaddar.<br/><br/>Paying tributes to Guru Teg Bahadur on the occasion of his martyrdom day tomorrow, the Chief Minister said that the martyrdom day of Guru Teg Bahadur is an occasion to perpetuate the lofty ideals of peace and harmony. He said that Guru Teg Bahadur’s supreme sacrifice is unique and un-paralleled in the history of mankind and symbolized the crusade against tyranny and oppression.<br/><br/>The Chief Minister appealed to the people to participate in unison for the observance of this auspicious occasion by displaying the spirit of harmony and social cohesion to strengthen the unity and integrity of our country. Guru Teg Bahadur sacrificed his life in New Delhi in 1675 on this day.<br/>
