<span style="color: #222222;">In Chandigarh, the mortal remains of Major Anuj Sood, who sacrificed his life for the country at Kupwara, were consigned to flames today at Manimajra cremation ground with full military honours. A contingent of army saluted and fired in the air to pay respect to the departed officer.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief of Staff of Western Coomand Lt. Gen Gurpal Singh Sangha, Station Commandar Brigadier T S Mundi, Haryana Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta, Panchkula Deputy Commissoner Mukesh Kumar Ahuja and representatives of Punjab Governor and UT Administration paid floral tributes to him. His father Retired Brigadier C K Sood lit the pyre.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Prior to it, the body of Major Sood was taken to his house in Amaravati in Panchkula, where his last rites were performed and he was given tributes by the family with tears in eyes. His wife Aakruti and Sister Captain Harshit Dahiya said, his bravery and passion for the country is source of inspiration for all of us.</span><br />
