Four left parties have urged the Centre to declare 23rd January, the Birth Day of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as ‘Desh Prem Divas’. Disclosing this in Kolkata, the State Secretary of the West Bengal Unit of Forward Bloc, Mr. Asoke Ghosh said,a letter in this regard has been sent to the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh. In the letter, the parties have appealed to the Centre that a proposal to pay respect the Great Hero of the Freedom Movement is pending before the Government since 1996 and it has to be implemented at the earliest.
