‘Galle Dialogue 2010’ hosted by the Sri Lankan Ministry of Defence started today morning in the port city of Galle The two day maritime conference under the theme ‘Charting the Course for Sustainable Maritime Security Cooperation’ will be attended by local and foreign scholars and experts in maritime and naval affairs .Twenty-two delegates who are experts in naval and maritime affairs from Australia, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Oman, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Singapore, South Africa and USA are attending the conference.Admiral (Retd) Arun Prakash , Chairman , National Maritime Foundation , New Delhi and former Chief of Naval Staff of the Indian Navy is also scheduled to speak in the conference.
