The Marine Academy organized Marathon on International Day of Seafarer to support career in Merchant Navy, at Chandigarh yesterday. Deputy Commissioner Gauri Parashar Joshi flagged off the rally.<br/> <br/>The Marathon began from Chandimandir Cantt and Culminated at Sukhna Lake. About 800 residents participated in the event in the serene morning. <br/><br/>The purpose of the day is to give thanks to the Seafarer for their contribution to the world economy and civil society as 90% of worlds goods are transported by Seafarer. <br/><br/>
