World number two Maria Sharapova has stormed into the title clash of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the season. In the semi-finals this morning, she defeated fellow Russian Ekaterina Makarova, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2.Sharapova will take on winner of the ongoing other semi-final between world number one Serena Williams and her compatriot Madison Keys. In the Men's Singles, one semi-final is scheduled for today. World number six Briton Andy Murray will play Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic for a final berth.
