<span style="color: #222222;">Maharashtra government has decided to keep on hold its recruitment process until January 23 when the Bombay High Court is scheduled to hear the Maratha reservation issue.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Government counsel V A Thorat on Wednesday assured the court that no new appointments will be made under the new legislation providing quota to the Maratha community.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The division bench of Chief Justice N H Patil and Justice M S Karnik was hearing a bunch of petitions challenging Maharashtra government's decision to allot 16 per cent reservation to the Maratha community in jobs and education.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On whether the government was ready to make public the report submitted by the State Backward Class Commission recommending a reservation for Marathas, the government said it had some apprehensions about giving the report to lawyers.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">State Advocate General Ashutosh Kumbhakoni said some portions of the report pertaining to the history of the Maratha community might cause social unrest.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Adjourning the matter, the bench asked the government to consider providing a truncated version of the report to lawyers.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
