Argentine Football legend Diego Maradona arrived in Kochi early this morning on route to Kannur in northern Kerala, where he will inaugurate a private jewellery showroom and launch a heli-taxi service tomorrow. Hundreds of football fans thronged the Kochi airport this morning to have a glimpse of the legendary footballer. Maradona later left for Kannur by helicopter. A 35 kg special cake shaped like a football, field with a football in the middle has been prepared in Kannur to mark the birthday of the soccer star, who turns 52 on the 30th of this month.
