Maosit attack in WB kills 14 security men

In West Bengal, at least 14 security men were killed and several injured in a Maoist attack at Silda in West Midnapore district. Quoting official sources, our Kolkata Correspondent, Arijit Chakraborty reports that at least 40 maoists riding on motor cycles attacked the camp of Joint Security Forces this evening. The maoists also burnt the camp and planted landmines on the entire road leading to the camp at Silda under Binpur police station. Night vision force with anti-landmine vehicles have been sent to the spot. Meanwhile, maoist leader, Kishanji has claimed responsibility for the attack. He said, the strike has been carried out to protest against launching of green hunt operation by the security forces against them.
