In Jharkhand, Maoists have not yet released the abducted Block Development Officer (Prakhand Vikas Padadhikari) for the sixth day today. Accepting a key demand of Maoists for safe return of the abducted BDO, the State Government has already initiated legal procedure to get some of the Naxalites released, who are lodged in jails of the State and whom the Maoists claim to be innocents. <br/>Maoists had put some conditions to set free Dhalbhumgarh BDO Prashant Kumar Layak, who was abducted by the Maoists on 13th of this month (Saturday), from his Block Office at Dhalbhumgarh in East Singhbhum District in broad day light. The main Maoist demands are to release 14 of their cadres, who are lodged in Dhanbhumgarh jail of the district. All the cases are pending in the court. Meanwhile, the Jharkhand State Administrative Service Association (JHASA) has decided to return to work from today. The Association Officers were on enmasse leave for the past three days in protest against the abduction of their colleague, the BDO Prashant Kumar.
