Maoists killed seven persons including two policemen on the first day of the Bandh called by them in six states. In Chhattisgarh two policemen were killed while five CPI(M) supporters were gunned down in West Bengal's West Midnapore district.The ultras also blew up a stretch of railway track near Karmavad railway station in Giridih district in Jharkhand. The shutdown has been called in six naxal affected states to press for a probe into the death of top Naxal leader Azad on July 2 in Adilabad district of Andhra Pradesh.
