In Nepal, Maoist Chairman Prachanda said that along with its protest programme, the party will continue its efforts to arrive at a consensus with the political parties to resolve the political impasse on the President’s move to reinstate the sacked former army chief as well as restoration of the civilian supremacy on Saturday. He said that the efforts made so far to resolve the political deadlock among the parties could not bear fruit as the government did not show seriousness required to arrive at a consensus. AIR Correspondent reports that the Maoists announced to continue with their third phase of its agitation on Sunday.<br/>
