Stray incident of violences have been reported from Jharkhand and West Bengal on the first day of 48-hours bandh called by the Maoists to protest Operation Green Hunt. <br/><br/>The bandh called by the Ultras covered – Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and three districts of Maharashtra.<br/><br/>In Jharkhand, Maoists, have blown up a road bridge in Ghatshila sub-division of East Singhbhum district last night. Quoting police sources, PTI reports that the ultras blew up the bridge connecting Musaboni and Dumaria by exploding a landmine.<br/><br/>In West Bengal an encounter broke out between Maoists and the joint security forces after the ultras detonated two landmines and tried to prevent the forces from resetting a camp in Bhalukchera in Bankura district.<br/><br/>Superintendent of Police of Bankura district told reporters that the security forces retaliated and the encounter lasted for more than four hours on day. The ultras, fled into the Bhalukchera jungle and there was no immediate report of any casualty.<br/><br/> <br/>
