Maoists open fire on Salwa Judum in Chhattisgarh

<br/>In Chhattisgarh, Maoists opened fire on Salwa Judum (anti-Naxal) activists located near camps of CRPF and police, triggering a gun battle on Tuesday night. The ultras also set off an improvised explosive device in Dantewada district. Quoting official sources PTI said that there is no immediate report of casualty on either side in the face-off as intermittent exchange of fire continued late into the night. <br/><br/>Salwa Judum is anti-Maoist force comprising armed civilians with the tacit support of Chhattisgarh government. All CRPF and police camps in the district have been put on high alert in the wake of the attacks.
