Maoists not involved in Khagria massacre: Bihar CM

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ruled out the involvement of Maoists in the massacre of 16 people in Khagria district of the state. Mr. Kumar said, it was not the handy work of the outlawed CPI (Maoist) but executed by criminal gang operating in the riverine belt to grab the land of the poor. He said, it was aimed to create terror among the people . The Chief Minister assured speedy trial of the accused persons in the case.<br/>As already reported, ten persons including master mind O. P. MAHTO have been arrested in this connection. Over a dozen people have also been detained for interrogation . Additional Director General of Police Neelmani said, seven of them are accused in the case. He said, an intensive combing operations have been launched in Diara areas of Khagaria and adjoining Begu Sarai districts to nab others involved in the carnage.
