Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said if Maoists want to join the mainstream, they must shun violence first. <br/><br/>At a review meeting on the Left wing extremism situation in the Naxal-affected Koraput and Malkangiri districts with senior officials of the BSF, CRPF and the Odisha police at Koraput in Odisha today, Mr Singh said the the government is ready for dialogue with Maoists within the constitutional framework. <br/><br/>Later in the evening the home minister met the Odisha chief minister Naveen Pattnaik at Bhubaneswar and discussed on the issues on leftwing extremism in the State. Briefing to media in Bhubaneswar, Mr. Singh said the steps taken by Odisha government in curbing Maoists violence in the State is commendable.
