In Odisha, Maoists today killed four people, including two policemen and two suspected spies. Three armed Maoists fired at a police constable and a Home Guard at Ankadeli under Lamtaput police station in Koraput district killing both of them on the spot. The policemen were returning to Machkund police station from a weekly market, about 100 km from Koraput town. Two villagers were also murdered in neighbouring Rayagada district of Odisha by the Maoists. A group of rebels dragged husband of a women sarpanch and another ward member from their homes and killed them with sharp weapons, accusing them of spying for the police.
