Maoists kill four CPIM workers in WB, Bandh paralyses life

In West Bengal, normal life was thrown out of gear in West Midnapore district following the bandh call given by Maoists. The response was total in most parts of the district.<br/><br/>Shops and business establishments besides schools and colleges remained closed and traffic was off the roads. Four CPIM supporters were killed by the Maoists on allegation of being police informers. <br/><br/>The Moaists left behind hand written posters near the bodies on the high way at Silda and claimed responsibility for the killings. <br/><br/>No further untoward incidents have taken place during the 24 hour bandh call by the Maoist. <br/><br/>Members of the joint forces of the Centre and the State have been patrolling the streets in some areas. <br/><br/>It may be recalled that the Maoists have been demanding that some of other organisation members who have been arrested by the joint forces should be produced in court immediately.
