Maoists kill five CPI(M) supporters in W Bengal

In West Bengal, five persons have been shot dead by Maoists at Nachupatina village in West Midnapore district. according to police, a large group of Maoists descended on the village late last night and exploded bombs before firing in the air to terrorise the villagers. One group went to the house of a CPI(M) supporter and broke open the door and forcibly took him away. Another group of Maoists went to another house and took four members of the family outside. The police said, the Maoists first beat the five persons and then shot them dead and left behind some Maoist posters. CPI(M) party sources said that all the five persons were supporters of the Marxist party. Joint Security Forces and additional police reinforcements are being rushed to the village. A massive manhunt has been launched to nab the Maoists.
