In Bihar, Maoists have kidnapped seven labourers of a private construction company in wee hours today in Jamui district of the state. Additional Superintendent of Police told AIR that over one hundred Maoists stormed into the office of the firm engaged in construction of a bridge over Kiul river in Pakari village under Khaira police station of the district and took away labourers at gun point. AIR Patna correspondent reports that an intensive combing operation is continuing in the forest areas of Jamui district of the state to rescue the kidnapped persons. Last month Maoists had kidnapped 15 employees of a private company in Jamui.
