An All Jharkhand Students Union activist was gunned down by CPI(Maoist) at Jorugutu-Raidih in Jharkhand's Saraikela-Kharswan district. The Police said today that a group of about six armed Maoists shot the activist after he had returned from a party rally at Gamariah on Friday. The Maoists believed that the activists were working as a police informer.Meanwhile, Security arrangements have been beefed up across Jharkhand in view of the Independence Day.
